Sharon, in her mid-fifties, is recently divorced and needs a roommate to share her Iowa home. Robyn, also in her mid-fifties, needs a place to hide and a chance to start over. But as Sharon begins to uncover Robyn’s secrets, they encourage her own deep-seated desire to transform her life completely. A dark comedy about what it takes to re-route your life — and what happens when the wheels come off.

Cast Announced for TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT… at Village Players

VP_To Make a Long Story Short logoApril 6, 2021, Fort Thomas, KY—Village Players of Fort Thomas and director Nathan Henegar are excited to announce the cast for their annual summer New Works production! This year’s show is called TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT: A Video Production of 6 New Plays.

TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT… is New Works’ second filmed production, and the third for Village Players, to accommodate Covid-19 safety protocols. Filming will take place in late May and will once again be executed and edited by Camera Behind the Curtain’s Laura Petracco and Jeff Surber. A release date for online viewing will be announced soon. Village Players of Fort Thomas is a vibrant community theatre, continually producing plays and musicals for almost 60 years. Our productions range across a spectrum of periods and styles, presented in our intimate, three-quarter-thrust performance space in the heart of Fort Thomas, Kentucky. We stage innovative and of-the-moment works alongside beloved classic pieces while serving as an incubator for new talent, ideas, and writing. Each season features four mainstage shows, including a family-friendly winter production, as well as a summer production of original short plays produced by the New Works branch of the group. Village Players is a member of the American Association of Community Theatre (AACT), Association of Community Theatres Cincinnati (ACT), Ohio Community Theatre Association (OCTA), and the Kentucky Theatre Association (KTA).
