Auditions Announced for THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE at Falcon Theatre

FT_logoAuditions for THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE have been set for August 30 and 31, 7-10pm at Falcon Theatre in Newport. Performances will be January 26-February 11, 2017.

Characters:

  • Ransome Foster (M/30-40): A scholar from New York, well-spoken and well-read.
  • Hallie Jackson (F/25-35): A strong-minded, rough-talking proprietor of a saloon.
  • Bert Barricune (M/40-50): A true gunslinger, worn and battered, and in love with Hallie.
  • Jim ‘The Reverend’ Mosten (M/20-30): An African-American swamper. Kind, well-mannered and gentle with a lot of energy.
  • Liberty Valance (M/30-40): A Southern gentleman; intelligent, tough and terrifyingly unpredictable.
  • Marshal Johnson (M/50-60): Talks the talk, but a bit of a coward when it comes to confrontation.
  • Jake Dowitt (M/25-40): An enthusiastic reporter for a small local paper.
  • Company (M/20-40): Will swing from Valance’s Gang to Mourners to Students to Saloon patrons. One will also play the Deputy.
  • Narrator (M/ any age) This can be a voice over only or one of the Company

Auditions Announced for TWO BY TWO at Troy Civic Theatre

TROY_logoDirector Terressa Knoch is seeking 4 men and 4 women for the second show in our 2016-17 season.

The musical, TWO BY TWO, is based on the Clifford Odets play The Flowering Peach and tells the tale of Biblical Noah before, during, and after the Flood.

She is asking auditioners to bring 32 bars of music, and be prepared for cold readings from the script.

Auditions are Monday and Tuesday, August 15th and 16th at 7pm at the Barn in the Park.

TWO BY TWO will be performed November 11-13 and 18-20. Shows are at 8pm Fridays and Saturdays, and 2pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Auditions Announced for THE RAINMAKER at Fairfield Footlighters

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
Please come prepared to list all conflicts.

Performance dates are September 23-25, 30, October 1-2.

CAST:

  • H.C. CURRY: The father, mid-50s. Powerful, capable, set.
  • NOAH CURRY: The oldest, 20-30s. Like his father, but without imagination. Self-righteous and rigidly opinionated.
  • JIM CURRY: The youngest, early 20s. Excitable and full of dreams.
  • LIZZIE CURRY: The middle child, 20-30s. Courageous, romantic and looking for someone to care for.
  • DEPUTY FILE: A shy, intelligent man. Like Lizzie, is looking for a caring relationship.
  • SHERIFF THOMAS: A somewhat humorless man, disgusted with life.
  • BILL STARBUCK: The “Rainmaker.” A loud, braggart of a man and proud of it.

Auditions Announced for STORY THEATER at Tri-County Players

TCP_logoTri-County Players is holding auditions for their fall show, STORY THEATER by Paul Sills on Sunday August 14th from 2 pm to 4 pm, Monday August 15th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Sat, Aug. 20 from 1-2:30pm.

The auditions will take place at the Sharonville Public Library, 10980 Thornview Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45241.  The director for the show is Mr. Ivory Mazur.

Arthur Sinclair is a successful world-famous mentalist in the tradition of Joseph Dunninger. His beautiful wife Allison plots his murder for the commonest of all motives—greed. She enlists the aid of a struggling young actor. Her foolproof murder plan cannot possibly misfire as it’s too skillfully inventive—or is it? After all, Arthur (as everyone knows) has psychic gifts. But does he? Once the killing scheme is set in motion, the plot begins to twist and turn. Nothing is as it seems. Is mind reading possible? Can the future be foretold? Just when the audience figures out what will happen next, there is an unexpected shock to complicate matters. The mystery builds to an exciting climax where Arthur’s gifts not only save his life but also create a devilish new puzzle. Needed: 4 M 4 F
