Not only the wrong house but on the wrong night. From here on its every ghost for itself in this not-so-well known tale of what Marley and his spectral friends were doing on the night BEFORE they met Scrooge.

Haunted Brewery Tours

The Project: Haunted Brewery Tours: Can You Solve the Mystery? is a brand-new interactive experience supporting the Brewery District Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation, created in cooperation with Christian Moerlein Brewing, The Cincinnati Escape Room and Cincinnati Landmark Productions.

Debuting October 5 and running Friday and Saturday evenings throughout October, the Haunted Brewery Tours will take patrons on a trip back in time to meet actual colorful (and doomed!) characters in Cincinnati brewing history. Or are they? Of the five historic vignettes on the tour, four are real but one is fiction. There are clues and hands-on, interactive puzzles along the way to help you solve the mystery. Will your group guess correctly? If you do, a special prize and your place in history await you.

Roles: Actors (ages 18-60) needed for historic characters and interactive tour guides. Improv/atmo experience preferred but not required.

Commitment: Actors would be needed for all event dates (Friday/Saturday nights in October). LIMITED conflicts could be accommodated for preferred talent. There would be 2 rehearsals scheduled before opening.

Pay: $500 stipend, paid at conclusion of the event.

Auditions Announced for PROOF at Fairfield Footlighters

fflMonday, September 17 at 6:30 pm
Tuesday, September 18 at 6:30 pm

Fairfield Community Arts Center
411 Wessel Drive, 45014
Front Reception: 513-867-5348

Auditions for 2 Women / 2 Men

Auditions will consist of cold-readings from the script. Please be prepared to list all rehearsal conflicts.

Casting for:

  • Catherine, playing age 25, inherited much of her father’s mathematical genius and, she fears, his “instability” as well; she gave up her life and schooling to take care of her father until his recent death.
  • Claire, playing age 30-35, a practical and business-minded woman who has been comfortably successful in her work and relationships. She left Robert and Catherine behind, distancing herself from the run-down family home of her youth. She left the family to make a new life for herself in New York City.
  • Robert, playing age 50-60, as seen in Catherine’s imagination and flashback, a recently deceased mathematician praised for his groundbreaking work in his youth, but whose later years were plagued by delusional mental illness.
  • Harold (Hal), playing age 20-30, one of Robert’s last Ph.D. students during the one year his idol and mentor’s illness went into remission, at least enabling Robert to teach, if not continue his own creative mathematical work.

Directed by Kevin Noll, knoll826@gmail.com
Rehearsals: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 PM to 9 PM

ABOUT THE SHOW: Catherine has inherited her late father’s mathematical brilliance, but she is haunted by the fear that she might also share his debilitating mental illness. She has spent years caring for her now-deceased father, and upon his death, she feels left alone to pick up the pieces of her life without him. Caught between a new-found connection with Hal, one of her father’s former students, and the reappearance of her sister, Claire, Catherine finds both her world and her mind growing increasingly unstable. Then Hal discovers a groundbreaking proof among the 103 notebooks Catherine’s father left behind, and Catherine is forced to further question how much of her father’s genius or madness will she inherit. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, David Auburn’s Proof is a passionate, intelligent story about fathers and daughters, the nature of genius, and the power of love.
