Cast Announced for LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR & GRILL at The Carnegie

The Carnegie is thrilled to announce the complete cast of LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR & GRILL!

The brilliant Brandi La’Sherrill will star as Billie Holiday with musical support from local pianist and performer Dev Marvelous. Also, up-and-comer Popsicle “Poppy” will be making his stage debut as Billie’s loyal companion, Pepi!

This summer, La’Sherrill and Marvelous will be transporting audiences back in time to the gritty Philadelphia bar where the legendary jazz singer gave one of her final public performances in 1959.

LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR & GRILL is directred by Darnell Pierre Benjamin and runs July 15 – August 20, 2023.
