Mason Players’ May production is A.R. Gurney’s classic work, The Dining Room. The show is a comedy of manners set in a single dining room, where 18 scenes from different households overlap and intertwine. It is the setting for breakfasts, dinners, and all special occasions for each of the families who gather round the table, which was manufactured in 1898.
In the Players’ production, three actors and six actresses will portray the more than 50 characters who span eras, generations, ages, careers, interests, and relationships. The show is directed by Gail Rudolph, with Assistant Direction by Robert Terry. Cori Bauer is the show’s Stage Manager and the Producer is Susan Berger.
The Dining Room will be presented May 4, 6, 11, 12, and 13 at 8:00 PM and May 7 at 2:00 PM in the Mason Community Playhouse at 5529 Mason Road in Mason.
