2021-2022 Season Announced by Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative

CPI_logoMore fun than a Focus Group! Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative (CPI) is delighted to announce its 2021-2022 New Voices Season of Staged Readings, which will be performed at the Fifth Third Theater on Tuesday Nights at 7 p.m. starting in September. Because of the COVID theater shutdown an extra show was added in December this year! Come give our playwrights your feedback after the show to help them develop their plays into staged productions!

The selected playwrights and their works are:

    UNFINISHED BUSINESS
    A full-length play written by Susan and Doug Decatur
  • October 12, 2021
    THE STANDS and AT THE EDGE OF THE LIGHT
    Two One Act Plays written by Eric Thomas and Chris Bishop     
  • November 9, 2021
    PLANTING GRAMDA
    A full-length play written by Liz Coley
  • December 7, 2021
    A WITNESS
    A full-length play written by Jordan Henry
  • January 11, 2022
    THE CIRCLE
    A full-length play written by Michael DiFrancesco
  • February 22, 2022
    A COUPLE WALKS INTO A BAR…
    A full-length play written Gray Shaw
  • March 22, 2022
    THE RESET
    A full-length play written by Ed Clark
  • April 12, 2022
    FOOLSFEST
    A night of eight 10-minute plays just in time for April Foolery! Names and plays TBA.
