Mason Community Players is auditioning its summer musical, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN online!

This light-hearted telling of the life of sharpshooter Annie Oakley, born and raised in Southwest Ohio, is slated to grace the stage in July.

The cast includes 14 principals, an additional 8 named roles, and a large ensemble portraying the performers in two Wild West Shows, New York socialites, and avid fans from cities across the country.

Since the show is in July, there are not plans at this time to cancel or postpone.

MCP will continue to monitor the current situation and will inform the theatre community as soon as possible about plans for this show.

To Audition:

  1. Please fill out and submit the online audition form.
  2. Please prepare an uptempo song showing your musical range; one which is not from the score of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN.
Those under 10 who audition may sing a song from memory. (It can be as simple as “Happy Birthday” or be more complex such as a song from a favorite Disney movie.) Video yourself in a full body shot performing the song. Consider it your opportunity to impress the audition panel.
  3. Prepare a resume that includes your theatrical training and experience. Please be specific about your experience in the field of dance. Have you had dance training? If so, in which styles and at what level? For how long have you studied dance and with whom? Do you have collegiate training in dance? Is your experience in dance from doing shows? Please list all shows in which you were required to dance, the role in that show and if you were a featured dancer.
  4. Supply a head shot – it can be a selfie. This is mostly for organization purposes to identify all those interested.
  5. Click here to access the audition form.
  6. Submit the resume and the photo to agyg@masonplayers.org

Complete the submissions by April 20, 2020.

Rehearsals will tentatively begin in mid-May.

The show will be presented July 17th, 18th, 23rd, 24th, and 25th at 8:00 PM and July 19th at 2:00 PM
