At the height of the historic Harlem Renaissance, venues like The Cotton Club were jumpin’ to a new beat called “swing.” AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ is a rollicking, finger-snapping, toe-tapping, Tony Award®-winning musical revue — a tribute to the black entertainers of the early 1900’s that centers on the music of one of the most prolific musicians of the time, Thomas “Fats” Waller.

Lights up on the landmark musical that started it all for the creator of Hamilton! Set to a hip-hop and Latin-flavored score and featuring high-energy choreography, In the Heights captures the vibrant spirit of a tight-knit, New York community. From his Washington Heights bodega, Usnavi follows the nonstop rhythm of his friends and family as they navigate their hopes and dreams, loves and losses, fortunes and fates. Don’t miss Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway smash hit and winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical. ADVISORY: In the Heights is suitable for adults and teenage audiences. This Tony Award-winning musical is a celebration of community and family, but it also contains some strong adult language and sexual innuendo — often sung in catchy verse.

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati
Jan. 19-Feb. 16
[Over-the-Rhine]

A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate at Bristol Senior Living Facility, so when cantankerous Abby is forced to share her quarters with happy-go-lucky Marilyn, she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman … by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet quickly escalates into a high-flying, dangerous game. This soaring new comedy tugs at our heartstrings as the women discover what is truly worth fighting for. This production contains mild adult content and may not be suitable for all audiences.
