Directors Call for 2019-2020 Season at Footlighters

fli_logoThe Footlighters, Inc. is accepting submissions for directors for the 2019-2020 season. If you would like to be considered, please send the following information to Janet Wisner, Chair of the Director/Play Selection Committee, at janet.wisner@possible.com. Please include ‘Director Submission’ in the subject line of the email.

  • A one-page letter of interest briefly detailing 2-4 shows you’re interested in directing.
  • A theater resume that includes your contact information.

The deadline to submit materials is Friday, September 14, 2018. Interested directors will be contacted the week of September 24th to schedule interviews, which will take place at the Stained Glass Theatre in early October. When you are selected for an interview, you will be asked to provide more specific information about the shows you are interested in directing, including potential production staff.

Plans are to produce a 4-show season for 2019-2020. We already have our fall production secured, Mamma Mia, so we are looking for three shows (plays and musicals) to round out our season. Exact show dates will be decided by the Board of Directors this fall.

Footlighters, Inc. was founded in 1963 and since 1987 has owned its own facility, The Stained Glass Theatre in Newport, KY. It continually attracts outstanding talent for its productions, and has received local, state, and national awards for outstanding production quality, individual and ensemble performances, and technical achievements.
