Walterhoope Reimagines THE LITTLE PRINCE in Bilingual, Two Actor Production

Free for children, Walterhoope reimagines THE LITTLE PRINCE
with two actors playing 13 characters speaking two languages

WH_The Little Prince logoWalterhoope, in collaboration with Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center, will present a new bilingual reimagining of Cummins and Scoullar’s THE LITTLE PRINCE for the stage.

The show will run for one weekend only: Friday May 18 at 7PM, Saturday May 19 at 7PM, and Sunday May 20 at 2pm. Performances will take place at Baker Hunt, 620 Greenup Street, Covington, KY 41011. Single tickets, which include a meal, are now on sale for $20 at https://app.arts-people.com/index.php?ticketing=walt. Children 12 years old and under get in FREE, and in the event of rain performances will take place indoors.

With THE LITTLE PRINCE, Walterhoope celebrates the unrestrained imagination of youth by setting the action in the beautiful gardens of Baker Hunt and using everyday garden objects to tell the story.

Directed by William Vaughan, starring Audrey Bertaux and David Mavricos, the play features two actors playing 13 characters and speaking two languages. True to the Walterhoope style, a community gathering will surround the event, consisting of a French-inspired meal and family friendly activities.

“I feel like all art that is created stems from the imagination and sense of wonder that is inherent in every child,” says Director William Vaughan, “I wanted to celebrate these things with this production as we explore what is essential, yet invisible to the eye.”

Walterhoope is a Cincinnati performing arts organization whose mission is to create the best theatre while uniting diverse art forms, to treat audiences as family and create immersive experiences for them, to use arts education to foster a healthy community, and to do it all responsibly.
