(COVINGTON, KY) August 15, 2017 – The Carnegie is pleased to announce that Kimberly Best has been named executive director of the non-profit arts organization.

Best, who has served as the interim director since May, has a long history with The Carnegie, having joined the organization in 2009 as a development associate. While she left in 2013 to work for the Bethesda Foundation, Best returned in early 2016 to take on the position of deputy director, where she was responsible for finance, external affairs, administration and operations within the organization.

“Kim has been doing a fantastic job these past few months during the transition,” said Sara Vance Waddell, Carnegie board president. “The board leadership is confident she is the right person to move the organization forward.”

Best brings a broad range of experience to the position, with a background in development and fundraising, along with a degree in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky.

“I am excited for the opportunity to serve The Carnegie in this capacity,” says Best. “For nearly a decade I’ve had the privilege of being part of this organization and I am honored to take on this role.”
