HE KEEPS ME SINGING Runs Sept. 4-Nov. 1

LAC_He Keeps Me Singing_logoHE KEEPS ME SINGING
Presented by La Comedia Dinner Theatre
Sept. 4-Nov. 1
Springboro

If you liked SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN, you’ll love HE KEEPS ME SINGING! Last seen on stage in I SHALL NOT BE MOVED, the Singing Hatfield Family will tickle your funny bone and touch your heart while singing and playing those great old gospel standards.

Orval and Opal are joined by Reverend Virgil Hathaway, their granddaughters, and the rest of the Hatfield clan at the “Sinsperation ’52” revival under the tent at their small town church in Oklahoma. Songs like “How Great Thou Art,” “Just As I Am” and “Love Lifted Me” are the musical setting in this down-home, musical about faith and family.

MIRACLE ON SOUTH DIVISION STREET
Presented by Human Race Theatre Company
Sept. 4-21
Dayton

Directed by Richard E. Hess

Cast: Wendy Barrie-Wilson as Clara, Lauren Ashley Carter as Ruth, Jennifer Joplin as Beverly & Kyle Nunn as Jimmy

Sixty years ago, Grandpa Nowak had a vision of the Virgin Mary in his Buffalo, New York barbershop and had an unusual statue of her made to commemorate the miracle. For decades, his family has faithfully tended to his quirky shrine—a source of hope and inspiration in an otherwise run-down part of town. That is until a deathbed confession knocks them for a loop in this hilarious hit comedy that proves when it comes to local legends, there’s more than meets the eye.
