TDW Seeks Graphic Designer

TDW_VERTThe Drama Workshop is seeking a graphic designer for the 2014-2015 season and beyond to create a vibrant, exciting collection of season artwork. The Drama Workshop is an all volunteer non-profit organization. The group is one of Cincinnati’s oldest and most acclaimed community theaters, founded in 1954 and now celebrating 60 years as part of the Cincinnati arts community. The Mission of The Drama Workshop is to celebrate and create both art and community in a supportive setting. We welcome all who enjoy theatre and working together in a collaborative and creative environment.

Shows for the 2014-2015 season include “Arsenic and Old Lace”, “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, “Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings”, “Rumors”, and “Jeeves in Bloom”.

The graphic designer will work with the marketing committee to create show art for each show in the season, as well as to create the season flyer. The graphic designer will be responsible for developing the logos, posters, postcards, and other graphical material needed for the season. The designer may also be asked to design show ads for swaps with other theatre groups and other material as needed. TDW strives to be respectful of its members’ time and other commitments, and provides as much lead time for these requests as is possible.

The marketing committee typically reviews draft graphics no later than 45 days in advance of the formal deadline to allow time for minor corrections. The season flyer, to include show logos, must be completed prior to 15 June 2014. The individual show posters must be completed no later than 15 July 2014.

Interested individuals should submit folios (or links to folios) no later than 15 Feb 2014. In person interviews will be scheduled immediately following, and the position awarded by 1 March 2014.

Questions may be directed to Ms Gretchen Gantner, TDW Marketing Committee Chair, at 513.470.5516 or at groose1876@aol.com.
