From Director Wynn Alexander: Open Auditions for MAMMA MIA! will be held at 7:15 pm Sunday, May 20 and Monday, May 21 with callbacks (if necessary) scheduled for Wednesday, May 23 at 7:15 pm on the stage of the Heiland Theatre in the Oscar F. Boyd Cultural Arts Center on the Campus of Wilmington College. “Mamma Mia” calls for a cast of exuberant men and women ages 15 to 50+ who can sing, and dance.
Auditions will be held in a Workshop Style. No advance preparation for the audition is necessary; all music and movement used for the audition will be taught during the sessions. Come dressed to sing and dance. Those auditioning are encouraged to attend all sessions and stay for the entire length of each session, if possible, to allow for full participation. Rehearsals will begin soon and production dates are July 12, 13, 14 & 15.

The Addams Family takes audiences into the lovable family of creepy kooks who are alive (?) and well and living in Central Park. The family, led by the elegantly gaunt and seemingly undead Morticia and her ever-devoted husband Gomez, is in turmoil. Their daughter Wednesday, now 18, finds herself falling in love. When the teen invites her new boyfriend over with his “normal” family to get better acquainted with the Addams household, comic chaos (including everything from mixed-up potions to a scorching tango) ensues.

The Wilmington College-Community Summer Theatre announces auditions for this year’s production of the new musical THE ADDAMS FAMILY by Andrew Lippa.
Auditions will be held on May 21, 22, & 23 at 7:15 pm on the stage of the Hugh G. Heiland Theatre on the campus of Wilmington College.
Director Cherie Cooper-Darragh, choreographer Cole Haugh, and music director Matt Spradlin will be will be auditioning actor/singer/dancers for the 20 member cast.
Persons auditioning should be 16 years of age or older.
Each audition session will consist of cold readings, singing, and dancing. Those auditioning are asked to prepare 32 bars of any contemporary musical. Bring sheet music—an accompanist will be provided. Dress comfortably to accommodate the dance portion of the audition.
You may attend as many of the audition sessions as you wish.
Rehearsals for THE ADDAMS FAMILY will begin the first week in June, with performances scheduled for July 13, 14, 15 and 16.

The show is set at the Kit Kat Klub, a night club in Berlin, as the 1920s are drawing to a close and the Nazis are rising to power. The master of ceremonies welcomes the audience to the show and assures them that, whatever their troubles, they will forget them at the cabaret.
