Local business professionals return to the Otto M. Budig theatre
with a rock-n-roll salute to American and British music

Covington, KY – On Saturday, June 16 and again on Saturday, June 23, more than 40 prominent business and community leaders from across greater Cincinnati will get out from behind their desks, leave behind their suits and computers, grab their instruments and take to The Carnegie’s Otto M. Budig theatre stage for the 5th Annual Suits That Rock benefit concert.

Themed “Yanks, Brits and Hits,” this year’s performances will pay tribute to some of the most popular American and British music from the early 60’s up to today. The set list will include crowd favorites by artists such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Adele, Jimi Hendrix, Train, Toby Keith, Bruce Springsteen and many more.

“We have so much fun up there on stage, but our audience seems to have as much fun as we do” said John Domaschko, co-founder of Suits That Rock. “For most of the year we’re like most business professionals, but the two nights we get to perform on stage at The Carnegie, that’s an opportunity to live out musical passions and connect with a great crowd. You can’t beat that experience.”

Started in 2008, Suits That Rock has become The Carnegie’s annual sell-out fundraising event. A favorite amongst Carnegie patrons, popularity has grown such that in 2010 an encore performance date was added. Proceeds from both evenings benefit The Carnegie’s Eva G. Farris Education Center programs, which provide children with creative experiences and exposure to the arts.

“Suits That Rock is not only a fun night, but it plays a huge role in supporting our education outreach initiatives,” said Katie Brass, Executive Director for The Carnegie. “Each year our costs increase and the funds from Suits help pay for much needed general operating expenses including salaries, supplies and the maintenance of the education center … expenses that are not covered by grants or contracts.”

Tickets to Suits That Rock are just $50 for Mezzanine, $75 for Orchestra, per person (reserved seat), and include a commemorative Suits That Rock mug, dinner by-the-bite, valet parking and a rockin’ good time. A cash bar is provided by The Avenue Lounge. Doors open at 6:30pm each evening with “Suits” taking the stage at 7:30pm.

About The Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center
The Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center is a multidisciplinary arts venue serving the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati community.
