THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES was written in 1996 by Eve Ensler and is meant to begin conversations about women’s sexuality, sexual violence and the stigmas around them.

However, this idea of the female experience being tied exclusively to people with a vagina is clearly dated, but we hope to use this piece to begin important conversations about gender, reproductive rights, transphobia and voter rights in our own community.

Please join us for this moving production and a continued conversation with the staff and cast following the performance.

Auditions Announced for THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES at Lumos Players

LP_logoTHE VAGINA MONOLOGUES is a play that was written in 1996 by Eve Ensler that is meant to begin conversations about women’s sexuality, sexual violence and the stigmas around them.

However, this idea of the female experience being tied only to those with a vagina is dated and we hope to have as diverse and inclusive a cast as possible- so casting is open to ALL who connect or identify in anyway with the words and message of Ensler’s work. We hope to see you at auditions.

*Video Auditions accepted if you are unable to be at auditions August 14th.

Sun, Aug. 14 from 2-6pm
Lakeview UCC – 8639 Columbia Rd, Maineville 45039

Performance dates: Sept. 22-24 at 7:30pm

Rehearsals: Sundays (1-4pm) & TBD weekday 7-9pm beginning Aug. 21

All roles available. All actors must be fully vaccinated.

Auditions will consist of a prepared 1-minute monologue and cold reads from the script.
