DISENCHANTED! runs November 1-17, 2024

Poisoned apples. Glass slippers. Who needs ’em?! Join Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses in the hilarious hit musical that’s anything but Grimm. Forget the princesses you think you know – the original storybook heroines have come to life to set the record straight.

Auditions Announced for DISENCHANTED! at Loveland Stage Company

Loveland Stage Company is proud to announce auditions for its Fall musical, DISENCHANTED!

Audition dates:

  • Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6-9pm
  • Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 6-9pm

Callbacks if needed will be Thursday, August 8 at 7pm.

Auditions will consist of:

  • Singing: please prepare 2 separate selections (not from the show), one up-tempo and one ballad, 16 bars each with sheet music clearly marked. An accompanist will be provided.
  • Cold reads from the script.
  • A short dance routine (please wear appropriate shoes to dance in).

Please arrive a few minutes before your time slot, so that you may fill out an audition form. Headshots are not required, but appreciated.

Auditions are open to anyone 18 years of age and older, identifying as female, and can sing in the range of the character.

Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this “masterpeach” of a tale. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical is about courage and self-discovery!

When James is sent by her conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, she discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way.

Creative costuming and puppetry abound, and our young actors love playing the outlandish and larger-than-life human and insect characters.

Come enjoy our talented youth as they take the stage, the set, and tech roles to bring this fun family show to life! A perfect event for your friends and family!
