The play captures moments of romance, heartbreak, and the magical realism that adds a touch of whimsy to the storytelling.”Almost, Maine” is a play written by John Cariani that takes place in the fictional town of Almost, which is located in a remote, northern part of the United States. The setting is quirky, as Almost is not quite a town due to its lack of organization, and it’s almost in Canada. The play consists of a series of nine interconnected vignettes, each portraying a different aspect of love.
