A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS! Don’t let the hustle and bustle of the holidays get you down – Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang are here to remind us all about what’s most important during this Yuletide season. By Charles M. Schulz. Based on the television special by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson. Stage adaptation by Eric Schaeffer. By special arrangement with Arthur Whitelaw and Ruby Persson. Puppets by The Frisch Marionette Company. Directed by Roderick Justice. Choreographed by Jay Goodlett.

2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the animated television special, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Produced by Lee Mendelson and directed by Bill Melendez, the TV program made its debut on CBS on December 9, 1965.

A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS presented by The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, December 4 through December 13. Friday December 4 at 7:30 PM; Saturday December 5 at 2 PM; Sunday, December 6 at 2 PM; Saturday, December 12 at 2 PM and 5 PM; and Sunday, December 13 at 2 PM. The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s production of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS is made possible by the generous support of Macy’s, and the generosity of community contributions to the ArtsWave Campaign. The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. And don’t miss Brunch with Santa on Saturday, December 12 at 11:30 AM. Tickets for this event are $35 for brunch only, show tickets must be purchased separately. ANNIE JR. tells the story of Little Orphan Annie. A fiery young orphan girl who must live in a miserable New York City orphanage run by the tyrannical Miss Hannigan. Her seemingly hopeless situation changes dramatically when she is selected to spend the Christmas holidays at the residence of the wealthy industrialist, Oliver Warbucks. Quickly, she charms the hearts of the household staff and even the seemingly cold-hearted Warbucks cannot help but learn to love this wonderful girl. She befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt as she finds a family with “Daddy” Warbucks, his secretary Grace and a loveable mutt named Sandy.
