Managing Director Sought at New Edgecliff Theatre

NETNET is seeking a Managing Director. The Managing Director reports to the Producing Artistic Director and will work with the Artistic Directors and in various administrative and production areas. The Managing Director will be directly involved and assist in all aspects of NET’s operation.

General Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Producing Artistic Director in the implementation of special event planning and managing;
  • Assist Producing Artistic Director with creating organizational and production budgets;
  • Track ongoing adherence to budgets;
  • Manage time and organize people and space;
  • Attend production meetings with designers;
  • Communicate with and act as liaison between all parties involved in production, including actors, the creative team, the production team and producers;
  • Assist with production and distribution of all promotional materials;
  • Assist with tracking of ticket sales and assure proper database management;
  • Attend all NET productions/events.

This is stipend-paid position. Local candidates only, please.

Director Needed for MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET at RiverStage Community Theatre

RSCT_logo.jpgRiverStage Community Theatre of New Richmond, Ohio has lost the director for their 2017 Christmas show, MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET, and is now looking for a director able to work within the short time frame. Performance dates will be December 8 (Friday), 9 (Saturday), 10 (Sunday) and 16 (Saturday) and 17 (Sunday).

RiverStage has been given the exciting opportunity for this show of using a new-to-them 463-seat venue.

Call For Paid Director of Local High School’s Spring Musical

MISC_New Richmond Exempted Village School District logoNew Richmond Exempted Village Local School District (nrschools.org) is now accepting Director resumes for their High School’s Spring Musical.

Performance dates: April 20 & 21

This is a paying position.

New Richmond is an easy drive from Cincinnati, along US 52 East past Coney Island. (zip code 45157)

The show is not decided on, and potential directors submitting a resume are invited to suggest shows they would like to work on and have a vision for. Recent musicals produced there have been The Wizard of Oz and High School Musical.

New Richmond High School has a theatre with seating for 493.

 

In 2016-2017, the High School chorus, Troubadours, and the Concert Band both received “1” ratings in OMEA District XIV, and qualified for State Contest.

Select Roles Available in RING ROUND THE MOON at Village Players

We need:

  • Two (2) women (mid 20’s to mid 30’s)
  • Three (3) men (2 stage age mid 20’s to mid 30’s & 1 stage age 40’s-50’s)
  • A young man 30-ish (Patrice)
  • Two (2) young women – stage age late 20s or so (Lady India and Diana)
  • One older woman, stage age 45-60 (Capulet or Isabel’s mother)

Story Synopsis:
A number of guests arrive for a party at a country chateau. Their intertwining relationships create a mix of emotions, with comic results. A play “of many moods…wistfully romantic, satirical, fantastic…To make his points about love (the author) has invented a fable about twin brothers—Frederic, who is shy and sensitive, and Hugo, who is heartless and aggressive. Frederic is in love with a hussy who is in love with Hugo. To save Frederic from an unhappy marriage, Hugo tries to distract him by bringing to a ball a beautiful dancer who masquerades as a mysterious personage and becomes the triumph of the occasion. She is a susceptible maiden in her own right. She not only breaks up all the cynical romances that have been going on before she arrived, but loses her own heart as well.”

Performances are Friday through Sunday (2/9/-2/11/18) and Thursday through Saturday 2/15-2/17/18.

Mason Players Seeking Directors for 2019

MCP_logoCalling all directors! The Mason Community Players, the longest continuously operating communty theatre group in Warren County, is excited to start laying out our 2019 Season, and we want YOU to be a part of it!

We are looking at producing 5-6 shows in our 2019 season (this includes a major musical in the summer) in our home at Theatre 42 and are looking for directors who have the passion and creativity to make those shows come to life.  Our hope is to provide offerings throughout the year that will attract a variety of participants and viewers.

In particular, 2019’s summer musical will look to be a family/child friendly production.

Those interested should complete the Google form found at https://goo.gl/forms/gd3hyIzXZm2TMi2l2 for EACH SHOW that you are proposing for the year and submit by Sunday, October 8th.  The board will review proposals during the October 9th and November 1st board meetings.
