Part-Time Program Director Sought by Educational Theatre Foundation

ETF_logoJob Description:  The Educational Theatre Foundation (ETF) has a unique opportunity for a part-time Program Director to lead multiple programs with national scope – specifically, JumpStart Theatre (JST) and educational theatre grant programs administered by ETF. Responsibilities include: strategic and executional leadership, process definition, analysis, communication of programs, budgeting, and business model definition.

Schedule: The work requires approximately 2 days/week of effort. While much of it can be independently managed, it is helpful to work at least one day/week from the ETF main office to ensure optimum awareness of goals and objectives, and to enable effective collaboration.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. JumpStart Theatre (JST)
    • Defines the transferable elements of the JST program, identifies potential partner candidates, negotiates partner agreements, and helps partner get program initiated.
    • Provides ongoing mentoring to regional JST partners, helps them problem-solve, and ensures they have the tools to manage each aspect with success.
    • Develops projection of expenses across all sites on a multi-year basis relative to program income.
    • Identifies resources, capabilities and policies (e.g., of regional school systems) to support sustainability of the JST program executions in each regional market as well as nationally.
    • Defines impact measures and practical method of obtaining the measures ongoing.
    • Communicates the overall program and impact in multiple ways, including formal and informal presentations, written articles, and overall brand management.
    • Manages one direct report (ETF Program Manager). Some travel required.
  2. Grants to Schools (e.g. RISE America in 2018)
    • As part of a multifunctional ETF team, develops key parameters of potential grant programs for school theatre programs, and methods to execute and steward such programs.
    • Ensures competitive applications are received, assessed and awarded in line with program goals, objectives, and publicly communicated expectations.
    • Serves as point person to grant applicants and ensures funds are disbursed and then applied as expected.
    • Solicits, compiles, edits and communicates on the usage of grant funds, such that ETF and its supporters appreciate the ROI of the grants.
  3. Skills and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree. MBA or Masters in Art Administration preferred.
    • 8-10+ years of relevant professional experience including project leadership, marketing, financial budgeting, processes and procedures, and working collaboratively in a multifunctional team, preferably in a non-profit setting. Knowledge of inner workings of schools and school theatre programs a plus.
    • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into a practical and viable operational model.
    • Ability to effectively communicate key project details and impact to all partners and stakeholders, including regional partners, school personnel, ETF management, Board, donors, media, and others.
    • Ability to work as a business partner with ETF leadership as the organization grows and expands its reach.
    • Ability to plan and determine strategies to move the programs forward, set goals, create and implement action plans, and evaluate the process and results
    • Advanced attention to detail, along with the ability to anticipate and see big picture perspective
    • Ability to prioritize a wide-ranging work load for self and department, and work independently
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to foster teamwork by working cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.

Caesar’s Ford Theatre Extends Call for Submissions

CFT_logoThe Board of Trustees has made the decision to extend the submission deadline to May 22, 2019 to accommodate playwright requests for additional time to perform historical research. The Board would also like to see additional submissions regarding Col. Charles Young, the Shawnee Nation, and Ohio’s wonderful aviation history. Caesar’s Ford Theatre, Inc is seeking a variety of dramatic genres and especially encourages submissions from diverse writers including women, African Americans, and Native Americans.

Caesar’s Ford Theatre, Inc is looking for short dramatic scripts based about Ohio history to be included in “History in ACTion: A Festival of New Historic Drama”, to be presented as staged readings September 21, 22, 28, 29, 2019. The festival will take place in an outdoor theatre venue. Playwright and student playwright festivals will occur on separate weekends. Original one-act plays, monologues, or scenes from longer works will be considered. Each script should require no more than 10 performers and run somewhere between 10 and 30 minutes in length. All scripts should be based on stories from the history and culture of Ohio. Visit www.caesarsford.com for some suggested subjects and further details. Fictional characters and incidents can be included but historical accuracy is a priority. Scripts should not be based upon previously published works.

Writers should be residents of Ohio, a graduate of a college or university located in Ohio, or has a significant tie to the state. Student writers should be residents of Ohio and attend a charter, parochial, private, or public middle school or high school. Students who are home schooled or students living out-of-state but have a significant tie to the State of Ohio are also invited to participate. The authors of scripts chosen for inclusion in the Festival will be offered compensation for performance rights, ranging from $25 to $100, depending on the length of the material. Caesar’s Ford Theatre, Inc is particularly interested in material that might further be developed into a trilogy of full length plays to be presented in an Ohio outdoor theatre venue in the future. Writers are permitted to submit more than one script. There is no submission fee. Actor Needed for Film THE DARK ARTIST

Synopsis- Jeremy a high school senior art prodigy is given a special project to complete by his art teacher Mr. Caractacus. When Jeremy opens the project folder, he finds out his teacher has a very odd style of art interest. Mr. C likes gory gruesome crime scene art. Once Jeremy does the project, he begins to find out why Mr. C likes these photos and the story begins to open and unravel.

Mr. Caractacus- Mid 20’s early 30’s bearded handsome man who comes across as very charismatic.

All we’re looking for is an actor for Mr. Caractacus. You will read from the script, no need to any preparation. Any help that may be offered for the film would be greatly appreciated as well.  This is a no pay film and it’s my first production. Cincinnati Landmark Productions Seek Part Time Staff Member

CLPCincinnati Landmark Productions is seeking a part-time staff member for The Madcap Education Center and The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts and The Warsaw Federal Incline Theater.

Box Office/Customer Service/Staff -Job Requirements:
Must be at least 19 years of age, have high school diploma or equivalency, some college preferred. Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to work in an unsupervised environment. Must be a self-starter, dependable, and have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Job Description: House management duties, Will Call, general customer service, assist in concessions/bar area and run a follow spot.

Hours for position vary. Mostly evenings during performances. Must be available weekends too.
