Prospero was once a grand lady, a famous sorceress and the ruler of the city-state Milan. A shocking coup, led by her ruthless sister Antonia, ended with Prospero left for dead on a deserted island. Now, many years later, fate – and a raging tempest summoned by Prospero’s magic – brings the two sisters face to face once more, and Prospero must make an irrevocable choice between virtue and vengeance. The Tempest, Shakespeare’s final comedy, is a tale of hope, betrayal, and justice, packed full of magic and monsters, handsome princes and bumbling servants, and longings more wild and powerful than the raging sea itself.
