Know Theatre has one more MainStage trick up its sleeve before we put Season 18 to bed.
That’s right, after the Fringe, you still have one more MainStage adventure to enjoy–and, trust us, it’s like nothing you’ve seen at the Know (or anywhere else) before!
Our own Andrew Hungerford takes the helm of THE FISHERMAN’S WIFE–a sex farce…with sea creatures.
Joining him is a cast of comedic powerhouses sure to keep him (and you) on your toes.
Miranda McGee (currently onstage as Margie in Silent Sky) is joined by Cal Harris (making his MainStage debut, after being seen in Serials: Roundhouse over the summer). Returning to the Know for his Season 18 hat-trick is James Creque, whose comedic chops you enjoyed in All Childish Things and whose tender side you witnessed in Hundred Days. And two old friends from OTRimprov round out the cast as the aforementioned sea creatures: Eileen Earnest and Andrew Ian Adams.
Synopsis: Vanessa’s and Cooper’s marriage is on the rocks. She wants adventure. He needs to fish.
Throw in a pair of magical sea creatures with Erotomania and an “Alternatively Attractive” traveling salesman who might have just the cure to what ails you, and you are in for a wild night by the seashore.
Playwright Steve Yockey (Pluto) draws inspiration from famous Japanese erotic woodcut, The Dream of the Fisherman’s Wife, to craft a story that’s naughty, hilarious, and a little shocking.
And did we mention puppets?
