CSP(OH) Announces Auditions for THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER

CSPO_logoCenterStage Players will hold auditions for their December performance of THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER at their performance venue – The North College Hill City Center (1500 W. Galbraith Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231)

Monday, September 9th, 6-9 PM and Tuesday, September 10th, 6-9 PM
(if necessary, Callbacks will be on Thursday, September 12th)

Speaking roles are available for 17 youth performers (stage age 5-13) as well as 10 adults.

We also want to cast a large youth choir for this show.

No appointment necessary. Auditioners will be taken in the approximate order of arrival.

Auditioners should plan to sing 16-32 bars of a Christmas song (with or without accompaniment –

Please bring a CD or appropriate sheet music if you desire accompaniment).

Some auditioners may be asked to read from the script.

Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday evenings, Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings – Beginning on October 8th.

Show dates are December 5th, 6th, 7th (2 shows) and 8th, 2013.

The story of Elvis Presley told through the eyes of 17 women! Some enthralled! Some appalled! ALL OBSESSED! A fast paced series of 5 comedic plays and 3 monologues based on the life of Elvis Presley. From Tupelo Mississippi where 11 year old Elvis wanted a BB gun instead of a guitar, to The Steve Allen Show, from President Richard Nixon’s office, to Andy Warhol’s studio, from Cadillac salesmen, to Graceland guards, this is a touching, bring-the-family comedy with a heart that captures the effects that fame, generosity and just being a nice guy can bring to others!

Audition Dates and Times:

  •  Monday, August 12 and Tuesday, August 13 at 7:00 pm. 

Audition Location:

  • The Creative Center at the Palace, 215 South Third Street, Hamilton, OH, 45011 

Needed:

  • 5 Females (ages 18 to 50)
  • 2 Males (age 18 to 25 – in one scene; and age 30 to 60 – in two scenes) 

Additional Audition Information:

  • Be prepared to read from the script.
  • Bring a list of conflicts falling between auditions and show dates.
  • Vocal flexibility is a must, i.e. regional accents and ability to alter one’s voice. 

Rehearsals:

  • Sunday. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:00 pm 

Show Dates:

  • October 10 – 12, 2013 at 8:00 pm
  • October 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm

QCP Announces Auditions for CLUE and CLUE JR

Queen City Productions (formerly Spotlight Community Theatre) will hold auditions for the classic comedy CLUE and a more family friendly version of CLUE JR.

CLUE is the hysterical who-dunnit mystery based on the hit film starring Tim Curry. We are looking to fill three casts; an adult cast, a young adult cast and a junior cast. The junior show will feature some changes to the story to keep it fun and interesting for the kids!

Auditions are for anyone 9 and up.

When:

  • Wednesday, July 10th 6:30-9:30pm
  • Friday, July 12th 6:30-9:30pm
  • Possible Callbacks: Saturday, July 13 12:30-4:30 

Where: Westwood Town Hall, 3017 Harrison Avenue

WHAT TO PREPARE: If you are auditioning for the adult or young adult casts, please prepare a 1 minute monologue and be prepared to do cold reads from the script. If you are only auditioning for the junior show you will just read from the script.

Show dates are October 11-13 and 18-21

TCP Auditions 3 Roles in CAUGHT IN THE NET

TCPTricounty Players announces Auditions for 3 roles in CAUGHT IN THE NET by Ray Cooney.

Director: Mary Benken

Audition date: Sunday July 28th Place: Reading Eagles Hall from 2 pm -4pm.

Production dates: October 25, 26, 27 and Nov 1, 2

The three roles are:

  • Gavin Smith – male, age range 18-25
  • Vicki Smith – female, age range 18-25
  • Mr. Gardener [Stanley’s father] – stage age 70 plus

Plot: The sequel to “Run for Your Wife” finds the bigamist taxi driver John Smith still keeping his two families happy, and blissfully unaware of each other. However, his teenage children, a girl from one family and a boy from the other, have met on the Internet and are anxious to meet in person since they have so much in common! Keeping them and his unsuspecting wives apart plunges John into another hilarious mess. He enlists the aid of his pal, Stanley Gardner, who brings along his slightly confused father.

The actors from “Run for Your Wife ” are returning to portray the other roles of John Smith, Barbara Smith, Mary Smith and Stanley Gardner.
