EP_logoEquality Productions proudly announces the casts for GOD OF CARNAGE.

  • Alan – Fred Murrell
  • Annette – Katie Jensen
  • Michael – Evan Blanton
  • Veronica – Traci Taylor

This cast’s performance is expected to be available online Sunday, May 24 for one day only.

  • Alan – Chris Bishop
  • Annette – Heather Abbott
  • Michael – Darren Lee
  • Veronica – Linda Callahan

The play by Yasmina Reza (Art) won the Tony Award for Best Play and runs about 90 minutes. Note there is an advisory of Strong Language. The comedy’s inciting incident is a playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys, which brings together two sets of parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the alcohol flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their principles in tatters..

Per the agreement with the play publisher, patrons need to purchase tickets to view the shows online. In light of the country’s economic situation, we offer PAY WHAT YOU CAN tickets. The suggested donation is $10 per viewing, which you would donate directly to a Greater Cincinnati community theater of your choice.

For instructions on how to view the performance(s), email equalityproductions@gmail.com with the production(s) you want to watch (i.e., cast of 5/23 and/or cast of 5/24).

Let’s support our community theaters and these talented actors for their time and talent. Thanks for your consideration to donate to our wonderful community theaters on behalf of Equality Productions.

TCT directly impacts the lives of nearly 200,000 families and children annually, through Broadway-quality TCT MainStage performances as well as TCT on Tour touring productions and TCT Academy performing arts instruction for children ages 18 months to 18 years.

For more information about the TCT mission, check out our website or enjoy our programming through TCT EVERYWHERE

In March of 2020, in response to COVID-19 and school closures, The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati launched TCT EVERYWHERE  — an online resource for parents, teachers and students featuring crafts, acting and vocal exercises and contests from the professional artistic staff of TCT Academy; along with study guides, podcasts, videos of past productions, and more.

The TCT Ready, Set, Auction! is designed to raise funds for TCT so that the nonprofit organization may continue to create online programming and plan for the time when we are able to gather again and benefit from the magic of live theatre.

PIPELINE and PHOTOGRAPH 51 Cancelled at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati

ETC_new_logo_bannerAs the devastating global pandemic continues to unfurl and impact communities near and far, ETC’s leadership and staff have been charting a responsible, viable way forward for when the curtain will rise again. In the meantime, we have adapted many of our programs to share digitally and stay connected with our audiences and we hope you’ll visit us online right now.

In March, we shared our intention to reopen Pipeline later this spring and present Photograph 51 shortly thereafter; we also announced the cancellation of 20th Century Blues. Like many of our arts peers, ETC has had to make extraordinarily challenging choices in response to this rapidly evolving crisis. After thorough consideration, we have made the heart-wrenching decision to cancel the remainder of our 2019-2020 Season and to put our efforts into rebuilding a strong, meaningful season for our audiences and artists for the fall. It remains our hope, though, to share one or more of these shows someday with you if possible.

Your Unused Ticket Options
Below are your options as a current ticket holder. For your convenience, you may complete quick online instructions for how to handle your unused tickets. Alternatively, you may contact our box office and leave us a message; we will return your call within 24-48 hours.

Online Instructions

Call Box Office: 513.421-3555 M-F, 10am-5pm

Convert your ticket(s) into a fully tax-deductible donation
Donate the cost of your ticket(s) in place of requesting a refund. Your generosity will help to ensure ETC’s future by offsetting some of the lost revenue incurred from having to cancel more than a third of our season. ETC will, of course, honor any refund requests.

Credit the cost of your ticket(s) to your account
This credit may be applied towards any future ticket or subscription package. This will help us remain financially stable as we resiliently plan for another compelling season.

Consider a subscription, gift voucher, or contribution
It’s admittedly awkward to ask for your help at the very time we can’t actually fulfill our mission, but such is the tenuous predicament in which we find ourselves. For anyone financially able to, we humbly request you subscribe for next season, purchase gift vouchers, and/or make a tax-deductible gift. If ever there were a time to subscribe, renew your donation, or make your first contribution, now is that time and truly anything helps.

Join us online
We invite you to participate in digitally-adapted free programs, such as: our weekly Meet the Artists live series where guests answer your questions on-air; our crowd-sourced Prelude-at-a-Distance, a choose your own adventure-style script and performance; and weekly audition tips, plus much, much more!

With your help, ETC will emerge from these challenges to become stronger than ever. All of us at the theatre—staff, board, artists, and volunteers—appreciate you immensely. Thank you for considering our requests. We wish you and your loved ones good health.
