Director Submissions Sought for 2025-2026 Season at Cincinnati Music Theatre

Attention all directors: CMT’s Creative Committee is now taking submissions for the 2025-2026 season!

Be a part of CMT’s 60+ year legacy and bring your vision to life at one of the city’s best venues – the Aronoff Center for the Arts.
Each season, our 100% volunteer-driven organization stages two large-scale MainStage Series* productions in the Jarson-Kaplan Theater, and three cabaret-style Studio Series* productions in the Fifth Third Theater.
Directors, please submit electronic presentations, staff, and resume to Karen Galliers Hendershot, VP Creative at creative@cmtmail.org no later than midnight, October 1st, 2024. Interviews will take place mid-October, and presentations to the CMT Board of Directors will take place mid-November.

Auditions Announced for RADIUM GIRLS at SSCC Theatre

SSCC Theatre will hold auditions for the fall production of “Radium Girls,” by D.W. Gregory, open to community members and students, at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, and at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on Southern State Community College‘s Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro.

In 1926, when radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Inspired by a true story, “Radium Girls” traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court. Her chief adversary is her former employer, Arthur Roeder, an idealistic man who cannot bring himself to believe that the same element that shrinks tumors could have anything to do with the terrifying rash of illnesses among his employees. As the case goes on, however, Grace finds herself battling not just with the U.S. Radium Corporation, but with her own family and friends, who fear that her campaign for justice will backfire.

Those interested in auditioning should prepare a dramatic one- to two-minute monologue and schedule an audition slot at https://www.sscctheatre.com/auditions. Memorization of the monologue is recommended but not required. Those interested in working on available crew positions will be asked to complete an interview during the day of auditions, and should also schedule an interview slot at the same link.

Auditions Announced for MACBETH at The Yellow Springs Theater Company

YSTC announces auditions for the annual Shakespeare Shindig Production of MACBETH by William Shakespeare.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION:
Rehearsals will run from August 13th until late October. Due to the concept for this production, specific details will be shared at the audition at this time.

PREPARATION:

  • Please be ready to do some simple choreography and read from the script at the audition. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
  • Audition will be reading from the script. if you wish to prepare a Shakespearean sonnet to support your audition, that would be fine.
  • A list of sides will be available closer to the audition and posted here to help with audition prep.
  • All roles are open to all genders. 21 or up, please.

Cast Announced for NUNSENSE at the Covedale Center

Cincinnati Landmark Productions is thrilled to unveil the cast of NUNSENSE, the opening show of our 2024-2025 Marquee Season! Get ready for a divine dose of laughter and music in this all-time hit musical spoof!
