FutureFest Fundraiser, POWER IN THE BLOOD on July 22

DPH_Future FestAnnouncing the Cast of POWER IN THE BLOOD, A FutureFest Fundraiser, directed by Jennifer Lockwood.

  • Ranger – Jim Walker
  • Ezekiel – Colson Littrell
  • Sister – Adee McFarland
  • Miss Blanchard – Becky Howard
  • Roberta Minks – Melissa Ertsgaard

POWER IN THE BLOOD, written by accomplished playwright Sarah Bewley, directed by Jennifer Lockwood. This powerful script, debuted at FutureFest in 1993, is a play about faith. It is the story of Ezekiel who spontaneously begins to bleed from wounds that mirror those of Christ on the cross. When a revival manager, Ranger, finds the boy, he buys Ezekiel from his sister and plans to reap financial benefits from the miracle on the revival circuit.

This unique event in Playhouse history will include a staged reading of Bewley’s powerful play, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments in our lobby, and a silent auction. All proceeds will support the return of the FutureFest festival of new works in July of 2024.

Tickets to this night of theater and fellowship on July 22 at 7:00 PM are available now on the Dayton Playhouse website. At only $20, this is an easy and affordable way to support Dayton’s longest running festival for new dramatic works.
