Loneliness, isolation and one’s own mortality are heavy themes that are front and center in the framed AGES OF THE MOON. It’s the latest play to hit Northside’s Liberty Exhibition Hall. The century old building turned theatre and performance hall will host the two man play in August.
Directed by film and television actor and playwright Kevin Crowley, the production is one of the last works of iconic American playwright Sam Shepard, AGES OF THE MOON, is a gruff and funny exploration about toxic masculinity and sanity.
Shepherd, actor and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, penned the story of two friends reunited and bound by their mutual loneliness and desperation. Humor and heartache abound in this cast featuring local stage and screen actors Michael Shooner and Daniel Britt. The plays run starts Aug. 5 through Aug.27.
