An alien living among us. A teen struggling with guilt and grief. A man whose life will be changed by his next coffee order. These are the seeds for the short films that will make up Anderson Film’s 2022 Film Festival. This year each film will be directed and edited by their student writers, working with a team of student technicians and actors. The stories they tell are heartfelt and vivid, comic and tragic, and a remarkable look into the imaginations of our youth.
With original music written by a group of AHS musical students and performed LIVE by the AHS Symphony Orchestra, these films will showcase all the amazing skills of both the Anderson Film and Orchestra students. All of the films from 2020’s Film Festival were nominated for Student Emmy Awards by The Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and this year is lining up to be even better. Make time this March to witness the future of filmmaking, right in our home town.
The Films are: Almost Human, Written & Directed by Will Clayton, Fraying, Written & Directed by Lily Biggs, and Clock-Watcher, Written & Directed by Andrew Kaeppner.
