The annual holiday blockbuster comedy “Every Christmas Story” plays for a limited time Dec. 13- 29, 2019 as Cincinnati Shakespeare helps you check off people on your gift giving list!
CINCINNATI, December 5, 2019 – Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is celebrating the holidays this season by presenting the beloved holiday classic, “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and Then Some!)” for a limited time on stage December 13- 29, 2019 with discounted ticket prices starting at $30. They are also offering the change to give experiences this holiday season for everyone your list with Gift Certificates and a new limited time item called “The Experience Package” that gives someone a complete night at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company with tickets, drinks, and more!
For the 14th straight year, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is thrilled to offer a full season of holiday cheer in just a little more than 90 minutes with “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)” by Michael Carleton, James Fitzgerald, and John K. Alvarez. What begins as another annual production of “A Christmas Carol” soon devolves into a slightly irreverent look at all of our favorite “Beloved Holiday Classics” including It’s a Wonderful Life, Nutcracker, Rudolph, Charlie Brown and more! Three actors (with the help of a tipsy Santa) send up everything from Dickens to Dr. Seuss in 90+ minutes of high octane jollity and frivolity.
CSC Director of Creative Education, Jeremy Dubin, returns to the director’s chair. This production is one of the most popular events in Cincinnati Shakespeare Company history breaking attendance and sales records every year. Director Jeremy Dubin remarks, “This cast has so much fun together that the show has become a very personal holiday tradition for all of us. It’s occasionally a little irreverent but always warm-spirited, and it’s the perfect answer to all your winter woes.”
Please note that “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and Then Some!)” is most appreciated by adults and older teens, and is not recommended for any theatergoers still young enough to believe in Santa. This is a perfect show to make a date night, for families with older kids and teens, and/or an outing with friends! Bob’s Bar in the lobby will have extra special drinks on sale including the “Naughty or Nice Cocktail” where the bartender gets to decide which cocktail stirrer you get- a “Naughty” or a “Nice”. There will also be hot chocolate that you can make “festive” or “naughty” with items like marshmallows, chocolate drizzle, shots of baileys and more. Be sure to arrive early for a pre-show drink and then order another beverage to be waiting for you at intermission!
While you are at the show- or available online 24/7- keep in mind that giving the gift of an experience has never been easier at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. CSC offers Gift Certificates in any amount that can used for tickets, subscriptions, classes, summer camp and more! This is also a great idea for parents and grandparents to give to students for their upcoming Summer Camp. And for a limited time item, give the gift of “The Experience Package” which gives someone a complete night at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company with tickets, drinks, and more all packaged inside a CSC Coffee Tumbler with a bow and gift tag for $150 (actual retail value $200+)!
