  • Thu, Sept. 27 from 6-8pm
  • Sat, Sept. 29 from Noon-3pm

People’s Liberty

ENHANCED FRUIT is an experimental theatre piece consisting of 10 minute vignettes circulating around 21st Century loneliness and the synthetic intimacy created within technology. Characters will have dialogue reminiscent of AOL instant messenger or chat rooms– where characters are hearing the words but missing the connection. Some characters will exist within the media subcultures of ASMR and Mukbang (eating broadcasts) that possibly soothe or contribute to chronic contemporary loneliness.

CHARACTERS

  • STACI- ASMR internet personality
  • SODA- Mukbang internet personality
  • SONYA- Skeptic
  • LONELY PERSON #1- non speaking, looking for someone who can create interesting movements with body
  • LONELY PERSON #2- non speaking, looking for someone who can create interesting movements with body
  • LEON
  • MIRANDA

Please bring a prepared monologue of your choice (does not have to be memorized) for the audition. There will also be scripts to read from for a cold reading.

If you are interested in the ASMR or Mukbang characters, please google and get familiarized with the videos.
