CAA_Werq The World Tour logo

(CINCINNATI, OH) – Voss Events, the producer of RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq the World Tour, has announced that Bob the Drag Queen will host the much-anticipated show at the Aronoff Center’s Procter & Gamble Hall on Thursday, October 18 at 9:00 PM.  The previously-announced host, Michelle Visage, is no longer with the tour due to a schedule conflict. The event is part of Cincinnati Arts Association’s 2018-19 Presenting Season.

Tickets are on sale now at www.CincinnatiArts.org, (513) 621-ARTS [2787], and the Aronoff Center Ticket Office. Group discount tickets for ten or more are available by calling (513) 977-4157.

Host Bob the Drag Queen will introduce sickening live performances by some of the series’ most unforgettable queens, including newly crowned Season 10 winner Aquaria; runner-ups Asia O’Hara, Kameron Michaels, and Eureka; and veteran queens Kim Chi and Violet Chachki.

Bob the Drag Queen is best known for winning the eighth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.  On the Emmy Award-winning TV series, Bob was noted for her focus on comedy, and won three challenges, including the recurring Snatch Game (where she portrayed Uzo Aduba and Carol Channing). Shortly after winning Drag Race, Bob released the single “Purse First” featuring DJ Mitch Ferrino. She also collaborated on the single “Yet Another Dig” in 2017, and contributed to the compilation album Christmas Queens 3.

In 2018, Bob debuted the podcast Sibling Rivalry on SoundCloud, with Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 10 sixth-place contestant Monét X Change as co-host.  Bob appeared as a guest co-host alongside Trixie Mattel on The Trixie & Katya Show, filling in for regular co-host Katya during her hiatus. Her TV comedy special, Bob the Drag Queen: Suspiciously Large Woman, aired on Logo in July 2017.

Under the name of Caldwell Tidicue, Bob played the role of Belize in Berkeley Rep’s production of Angels in America from April to July 2018.

Produced by Voss Events, Drag Race producers World of Wonder, and VH1, the hilarity and hijinks will travel to thirty-two North American cities throughout the USA and Canada beginning September 5th in NYC and ending October 27th in Miami. Major stops along the way include Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Following North America, the RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE 2018 WERQ THE WORLD tour will move on to Asia and Australia.
