CINCINNATI, OH – June 26, 2017 — Calling all super hero fans for Sunset Players’ musical THE TOXIC AVENGER at the Arts Center at Dunham.

A Regional Community Theater Premiere and winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical, THE TOXIC AVENGER is a charming love story and laugh-out-loud musical that has it all — an unlikely hero, his beautiful girlfriend, a corrupt New Jersey mayor and two guys who play everyone else, from bullies, mobsters, old ladies, and stiletto-wearing back-up singers. Featuring a wailing rock score with the book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music and lyrics by David Bryan, this comical musical has something for everyone to enjoy and will leave audiences laughing in the aisles as it rocks the house.

Directed by Jerry Yearout with music and vocal direction by Allen Lindsey and produced by Amanda Borchers, the cast includes:

  • Brenden Blackburn as Melvin Ferd III/The Toxic Avenger
  • Jodi Zerbe as Sarah the Blind Librarian
  • Kat Reynolds as Mayor Babs Belogoody and Ma Ferd
  • Garrett Wallace as Black Dude
  • Christopher Ball as White Dude
