The Tony Award winning Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park is accepting applications for the position of props artisan. The successful candidate will possess a positive attitude and a broad range of skills including but not limited to:
- Computer graphics
- Casting
- Welding
- Electrical wiring
- Mechanical fabrication
- Sculpting
- Carpentry
- Sewing
The ability to elegantly solve complex problems under changing deadlines is essential. Familiarity with period style, organizational and time management proficiency, and a desire to expand one’s knowledge base are critical. Essential functions include the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, the ability to work while on a ladder, and the ability to drive a van and small truck. Candidates must have a current driver’s license and a clean driving record. Minimum four years professional experience required. College degree in theatre a definite plus.
This is a full-time seasonal position and is represented by IATSE Local 5. Current IATSE membership is not a prerequisite. Benefits include health insurance and paid vacation.
