Bart’s Bards will hold auditions for JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT:
- Saturday, March 22, 2014, 1 – 4 pm
- Sunday, March 23, 2014, 6 – 9 pm
- Tuesday, March 25, 2014, 6 – 9 pm\
- (If necessary, Callbacks will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014, 1 – 4 pm)
No appointment necessary – Auditioners will be taken in the approximate order of arrival. There is a part for everyone 6 years and up. Come join our ministry/theater family!
All auditions will be held in the Krumpe Activity Center located behind St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 9375 Winton Road, 45231 in Finneytown.
Requirements: Auditioners should prepare an excerpt (16-32 bars) that best represents his/her voice and bring sheet music for the accompanist in the proper key. No a cappella or recorded music auditions please. Auditioners may be asked to learn a brief dance routine. Please wear shoes and clothing for comfortable movement.
* If auditioning for the role of Pharaoh, please be prepared to display your best Elvis impression!
Rehearsals begin: Saturday, April 12, 2014
Performance dates: June 19-22, 2011 (2 performances on June 21st)
Please be prepared to provide all conflicts during the rehearsal period (4/12-6/22).

The Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to life in this delightful musical parable. Joseph, his father’s favorite son, is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock ‘n’ roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless.

Calling all singers!! ArtsWave’s first-ever region-wide choral competition, CincySings, is looking for one last group to compete as the community wild card team! Gather a group of friends, family members, your church choir, your community theatre group (hint hint) or anyone interested in participating and prepare a song. Capture a video of your group performing, then email your video submission to CincySings@TheArtsWave.org by 11:59pm on March 15th. Videos will be uploaded to https://www.youtube.com/user/TheArtsWave/ then whichever video gets the most “likes” will participate in the CincySings competition!
