Hilarity abounds when the feisty females of Eden Falls, Georgia, decide to shake up their lives. Join the fun at the SPA-DEE-DAH, the abandoned church-turned-day-spa, where this group of friends gathers every Friday. After the loss of a dear friend, the women realize time is precious, and if they’re going to change their lives and achieve their dreams, they must do it now! The comic tension mounts when an ex-boyfriend shows up unexpectedly, a marriage proposal comes from an unlikely suitor, and Sugar Lee’s archrival vows she’ll stop at nothing to steal the spa away from her. Silliness and fun overflow as the women rally together to overcome these obstacles.

THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS Announced by Troy Civic Theatre

TROY_logoThe TCT board of directors met this week and made decisions regarding upcoming productions.

We are so excited to announce the highly anticipated upcoming production of THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS WILL be going on as planned! Performances are set for May 7-9 and 14-16, 2021, with shows on Fridays at 8, Saturdays at 2 and 8, and Sundays at 2.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the seating capacity for the theatre is limited to 25%. Initial seating is being restricted to those persons holding tickets for the original May 2020 production. Once seating is confirmed for those patrons, any remaining seats will be available for general sale on a first come, first served basis.

The TCT box office personnel will be in contact with all current ticket holders by the end of March. Due to the restricted seating capacity and social distancing requirements, your original performance and seating preferences may no longer be available.

For this reason, please be patient as we are making plans for the necessary fluidity of our usual seating chart. We are asking that all patrons wait for us to make initial contact regarding your tickets before you call the box office.
As changes in COVID-19 protocols unfold, the TCT board will be following them, and will adjust plans for tickets, social distancing, and health and safety guidelines accordingly. Due to the nature of seating restrictions at this time, tickets for The Hallelujah Girls will not be available online.

THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS was written by Jesse Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten, and will be presented by arrangement from Dramatists. The uproarious Southern comedy is being directed by Beth Shrake, with assistance from Steve Dietrich, and features:

  • Jennifer Kaufman as Sugar Lee
  • Nancy Besecker as Carlene
  • Kathy Campbell as Mavis
  • Julie Zalar as Nita
  • Madison Wells as Crystal
  • Niccole SueAnn Wallace as Bunny
  • Michael Schumacher as Bobby Dwayne
  • Alain Alejandro as Porter Padgett

We look forward to our return to the stage and hope to see you there!

THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS Postponed and 2021-2022 Season Announced at Troy Civic Theatre

TROY_logoThe TCT Board has evaluated the circumstances surrounding the intention to present THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS in January as we had planned, and has decided that the risk to our patrons and the actors is too great. The board has made the difficult decision to delay it again. We are hoping to open the show in May 2021 (just a year later than originally scheduled).

The board has also decided to cancel the remaining productions of FARCE OF HABIT and DADDY’S DYIN’, WHO’S GOT THE WILL for the 2020-21 season. We are intending to present the season originally selected for 2020-21 as the 2021-22 season. Exact performance dates are yet to be decided; however, the expected season will be:

  • DADDY’S DYIN’, WHO’S GOT THE WILL in September 2021
  • THE TIN WOMAN in November 2021
  • FARCE OF HABIT in March 2022
  • BONNIE AND CLYDE in May 2022

The ticketing committee will be in touch with season ticket holders regarding your options.

We thank all our patrons and members for your continued support in these difficult times. We will be together soon!

2020-2021 Season Update from Troy Civic Theatre

TROY_logoImportant Season Update:

The TCT board of directors met this weekend. After contacting Governor DeWine’s office, the Ohio Dept of Health, and the Miami County Dept of Health, we have NOT been given the authorization to continue with our current plans.

After much deliberation, the board has decided to postpone THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS until (tentatively) January 2021. If allowed to reopen at that time, we will continue with FARCE OF HABIT in March 2021, and will present DADDY’S DYIN’, WHO’S GOT THE WILL in May 2021.

The anticipated productions of THE TIN WOMAN and BONNIE AND CLYDE will be planned for the 2021-22 season.

Thank you for your continued support and patience during these trying times. Our ticketing, program, and patron committees will be in touch with how you can continue to support us.

Stay safe. We look forward to entertaining you in the near future!
