Godspell is a vibrant, contemporary retelling of the teachings of Jesus, primarily drawn from the Gospel of Matthew. Rather than following a traditional narrative, the show unfolds as a series of parables and lessons—brought to life through games, comedy, and dynamic ensemble storytelling.

Video Auditions Announced for GODSPELL at The Story Collective of Cincinnati

The Story Collective is seeking vibrant, soulful, and authentic performers for our upcoming production of GODSPELL.

We are mounting a contemporary, multimedia-driven production that explores community, humanity, and hope in a modern world. We want to see your story, your personality, and your voice. Casting all roles. Stipend included.

Submission Details
We are currently accepting virtual video auditions.

  • What to Prepare: A one-minute song of your choice that showcases both your vocal range and your unique personality. (Contemporary MT, Pop, Folk, or Soul styles encouraged!)
  • How to Submit: Email your video (link or file) to Director Susan Jung.
  • Email: susanj@thestorycollective.org
  • Deadline: All digital submissions must be received by March 20th.

Important Dates

  • Callbacks: Monday, March 23rd (In-person at the Sharonville Public Library) 6-8:30pm
  • Rehearsals: Will start mid May and be scheduled around the casts’ conflicts and held in the Northern Cincinnati area (Sharonville, Mason, Loveland, Blue Ash, etc)
  • Production Dates: July 24th – 26th at the Lindner Theatre at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.

The Vision
Directed by Susan Jung, this production will blend live performance with multimedia elements to create a visceral, immersive experience. We are looking for a diverse ensemble of storytellers who are ready to build something beautiful together.

Old letters to Santa, childhood wishes, and treasured memories come to life—reminding everyone of the joy, laughter, and love that make the season bright. Featuring classic holiday songs and nostalgic scenes, this 90-minute show is a festive celebration of tradition, reflection, and the spirit of Christmas.

Virtual Auditions for FRANCIS: The Man From Assisi at The Story Collective of Cincinnati

The Story Collective of Cincinnati, in collaboration with Friends of The Groom, is proud to announce virtual audition submissions for a staged reading of FRANCIS: THE MAN FROM ASSISI. This brand new musical will be a Cincinnati premiere! *Stipend Available.

Casting: Performers with strong choral singing skills who can pick up harmonies quickly and blend well with other vocals. Singing actors confident in reading and acting simultaneously with limited rehearsals.

Rehearsal Dates: Monday 10/6, Tuesdays 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, Tech Week: 11/3, 11/4, 11/6, 11/7. Show is November 8th.

Audition Info: Please submit 1 minute song in the style of golden age musical theatre or classical. Include resume/headshot. Confirmation you can attend all rehearsal dates (October dates may not be all-calls; November Tech Week/Show is no conflict) Submissions are open NOW until September 7th at Midnight to susanj@thestorycollective.org
