Auditions Announced for BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at East Side Players

esp_logoEast Side Players presents its 2018 summer show: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!

Final day of auditions are Sunday, May 6, 12:30 to 5 pm.

Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are strongly preferred. Please visit http://www.esptheater.org/   to fill out a registration form and get production info.

All ages are welcome, but anyone over the age of 16 wishing to audition for a named character should prepare a one-minute monologue and a Broadway-style song in the same theme as the show. Songs from BEAUTY AND THE BEAST are fine. Please bring a tape, CD, iPod, MP3, phone, etc. to provide accompaniment (no a cappella, please). We will have a CD player and amp; however, if you have your music on a newer iPhone, please bring an adapter. Music should be pre-downloaded, as some phones do not get a good signal at the amphitheater. After everyone has performed a song, we may ask you to read an excerpt from the show. After the audition, you will be given information about what happens next. The cast list will be available to everyone by Wednesday, May 24 at 7 P.M. Rehearsals will begin Sunday, June 10.

Rehearsals are Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7 to 10pm. Not all actors are called to all rehearsals, but as we get close to performances, expect to be called for every rehearsal once we start running the show!

Shows at ESP are double cast. Performance dates for BEAUTY AND THE BEAST are August 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18, 2018 at 7:30 PM.
