A message from the Footlighters, Inc. Board of Directors:
Friends and Patrons,
The top priority of our organization is the health and well-being of the community and our theatre family. In response to the COVID-19 virus, we have made the very difficult decision to POSTPONE our production of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN that was due to open in April 2020.
At this time, we are working through next steps, including potential new dates for the show. As soon as these details have been finalized, we will provide an update to our valued patrons and supporters.
If you have already purchased tickets for the show you can either request a refund for the price of the ticket or consider converting your ticket into a tax-deductible donation to support our current efforts to correct our failed boiler issue.
Should you desire to be refunded for your ticket, your options are as follows:
- Tickets purchased online from our website will be processed as a credit to the purchaser’s credit card.
- Tickets purchased by cash or check will be issued via check.
All requests for refunds should be directed via email to footlighters.ky@gmail.com. We ask that any refunds be requested and received no later than April 30, 2020. While we will work as quickly as possible to process requests, please allow up to 30 days for your request to be fulfilled.
While this unfortunate situation has impacted all of us, our mission remains:
To create an entertaining and enjoyable theatre experience of the highest caliber for our patrons and foster a creative and supportive environment for our performers, technical staff, and local artists. We remain a true contributor to the vibrancy of our neighborhood, and we are a destination for patrons who wish to be entertained and enlightened by our performances. We are, and continue to be, an all-volunteer run and supported organization.
Please consider donating your ticket purchase back to Footlighters, in order to support our ongoing efforts to maintain our beautiful facility and to continue providing the highest-quality theatre to our community. We are grateful to you for your continued support of the arts and of Footlighters, especially during these most challenging times, and we look forward to seeing you again soon at the Stained Glass Theatre.

Like many of our community theatre colleagues in the greater Cincinnati area, we were saddened when our most recent production was put on hold the night before we opened due to the COVID-19 restrictions put in place by the Governor of Ohio. While we agree these are necessary to ensure the safety of everyone, it was still difficult knowing the hard work that our cast and crew had put into the development of their program. CenterStage Players continues to extend our best wishes to everyone and hopes that everyone stays safe during this time of uncertainty. We look forward to seeing everyone across the area return to the stage as soon as possible.
March 19, 2020 – CINCINNATI: Although we are weeks away from opening ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA THE MUSICAL JR., the final MainStage production in The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s 100th Anniversary Season, we feel that it is in the best interest of our patrons, artists, staff, and volunteers to cancel all performances of this production.
Northern Kentucky University’s School of the Arts commitment to the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and guests is our top priority. We are closely monitoring COVID-19 (Coronavirus) news, including regular updates from NKU’s Coronavirus Preparedness Team (
The word “ensemble” is not simply in the name of our organization—it sincerely means that our patrons, our staff, our artists, all of us are essential parts of our Theatre, and so I want to give you an update on ETC’s plans as we navigate this uncharted territory.
