SLASHER
Presented by Falcon Theater
Oct. 18-Nov. 2
Newport

Reviews: Behind the Curtain |

Directed by Dan Doerger

Cast: Lauren Bailey, Dee Anne Bryll, Kayleigh Howard, Dan Doerger, Tara Williams, Jeff Surber & Norma Rashid

Set in a small Texas town, Slasher follows the making of an extremely low-budget horror film. Between losing much of their funding, the conservative religious group trying to shut down production and the strange “accidents” that start befalling the cast and crew, Slasher is a frighteningly funny send up of the horror movie genre.

Directed by jef brown
Produced by Pam Kaesemeyer

Cast: Harold Murphy as Charles Smith, Steve Phelan as Archer, Laura Boggs as Clarice Bernstein, Bryce Willson as Turkey Guy & Tim Rogers as Dwight Grackle

His war chest empty, unpopular President Charles Smith is about to lose the election in a landslide. Meanwhile, his lesbian speechwriter is striking until he legalizes gay marriage, and he’s being stalked by an angry Native American lobbying for a casino. Don’t miss this look at a typical day in the White House! Contains strong language. It is not recommended for audience members who might be offended by its use.
