AN ILIAD Runs Oct. 14-Nov. 2

ETC_An IliadAN ILIAD
Presented by Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati
Oct. 14-Nov. 2
Over-the-Rhine

Directed by Michael Evan Haney

Cast: Bruce Cromer as The Poet, Emily Scott as The Muse & Deirdre Manning as The Chorus

REGIONAL PREMIERE. The ancient thrilling tales of the Trojan War and the modern world collide in this captivating theatrical experience as we explore the psychology of passion and rage. Acclaimed Cincinnati actor Bruce Cromer embodies the Greek classic’s famous characters Achilles, Hector, Agammemnon—even the beautiful Helen of Troy—as he shares the stage with only a virtuoso musician. This lean, muscular, tour-de-force performance conjures the fury of the gods as it delves deep into mankind’s unshakeable attraction to violence, destruction, and chaos. This production contains strong language and adult themes and may not be suitable for all audiences.
