THE BREAKFAST CLUB
Presented by The Playground Theatre
Dec. 11-20
Dayton
Cast: Jason Antonick as Vernon (The Principal), Christopher Hahn as Bender (The Criminal), Titus Wolverton as Andrew (The Athlete), Lisa Glover as Claire (The Princess), Kirsten Johnson as Allison (The Basket Case), Timothy Walling-Moore as Brian (The Brain) & Rick Burnette as Carl (The Janitor)
THE BREAKFAST CLUB begins bright and early on a chilly March morning at Shermer High school in 1984, as five high school teenagers prepare for a day of Saturday detention. Each of the five students embodies a typical high school stereotype—The Brain, the Athlete, The Basket Case, The Princess, and The Criminal—seemingly having nothing in common. But as the day progresses, the characters begin to bare their souls and trust one another until they ultimately learn that they might not be so different after all.
