Winner of the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the New York Times called WIT a “brutally human and beautifully layered new play…you feel both enlightened and, in a strange way, enormously comforted.” Presented in an intimate staging atmosphere, WIT is sure to move you.

PIP_Satchel Paige logoSATCHEL PAIGE AND THE KANSAS CITY SWING

An exciting and inspirational new play from the creators of Fly! In the 1947 Negro Leagues, Satchel Paige is the king of baseball: a charismatic, superstar pitcher despite his advancing age. But as Jackie Robinson wraps his first historic season in the majors, Paige finds his own fame eclipsed and his desire for greater respect increasingly frustrated by the barriers all around him. A story of passion and perseverance, this jazz-infused drama paints a vivid picture of America on the brink of great change — on and off the baseball diamond. Advisory: Appropriate for adults and older teenage audiences.

Cast: Geoffrey Hill as Mute, Jonny Hofmann as El Gallo, Jacob Lucas as Matt, Jack Williams as Old Actor (Henry), Mike Robb as Mortimer, Mark Waldfogle as Hucklebee, Russ McGee as Bellamy & Maria Huey as Luisa

The Fantasticks, by Tom Jones & Harvey Schmidt, is the world’s longest running musical – running for over 50 years in Manhattan and entrancing generations of audiences the world over. The Fantasticks is a funny and romantic musical about a boy, a girl, two fathers and a wall. The narrator asks the audience to use their imagination and follow him into a world of moonlight and magic. The boy and the girl fall in love, grow apart, and finally find their way back to each other after realizing the truth in El Gallo’s words that “without a hurt, the heart is hollow”. The famous score, which includes the classics Try To Remember, They Were You, and Soon It’s Gonna Rain, is as timeless as the story itself. Rated PG.
