SILENCE! the Musical Runs Sept. 8-17

CSP_Silence the MusicalSILENCE! the Musical
CenterStage Players
Sept. 8-17
Arts Center at Dunham [West Price Hill]

Directed by Sean-Walker Mize
Produced by Mark Culp & Rebecca Coots

Cast: Faith Gingrich Goetz-Isaacs as Clarice Starling, Jeff Richardson as Dr. Hannibal Lecter, Justin Stallkamp as Buffalo Bill, Heather O’Meara as Catherine Martin, Rebecca Mullins-Jones as Senator Martin, Rick Hunt as Crawford, Corey Meyer as Dr. Chilton, Jasmyn Jewell as Ardelia, Paul Henkler as Papa Starling & Hannah Berlin Petry as Lamb

A “so wrong it’s right” musical spoof of the Oscar-winning film The Silence of the Lambs.  The show offers a comedic twist to the story of FBI agent-in-training Clarice Starling as she begins interviews with a convicted cannibalistic murderer, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, in hopes of tracking down a serial killer on the loose. Starling believes Lecter may have information about the unknown criminal. A former psychologist, Lecter only agrees to help Starling if she is willing to discuss her troubled childhood.  The film is transformed into a full-scale musical, complete with singing serial killers, unprintable titles, and a chorus of tap-dancing lambs. Contains strong language and adult situations.  Viewer discretion is advised.

Escanaba in da Moonlight is a snapshot into the lives of the Soady men. Retreating to their “home away from home” in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan they can spend time together doing their two favorite things … drinking and bagging bucks. At 35, though, Reuben Soady is in danger of being the oldest family member in history without a buck to call his own. Laughs abound as you get a glimpse into this traditional male rite of passage as lived out in the unique “Yooper” way.
