TDW_Play OnPLAY ON!
The Drama Workshop
Aug. 2-18
Glenmore Playhouse [Cheviot]

Directed by Victoria Covarrubias

Cast: Robert Brumberg as Saul, Rob Bucher as Gerry, James Covarrubias as Billy, Kat Falk as Aggie, Jessie Faye as Louise, Allison Friessen as Violet, Emily Gast as Smitty, Elizabeth Hickerson as Phyllis, Micheal Kiser as Michael & Kathryn Muck as Polly

PLAY ON! is a hilarious comedy of a play within a play. A theatre group is trying and failing in different ways to put on a play despite the haughty author who keeps revising the script. Act I is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, Act II is the near disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance, in which anything that can go wrong, does. When the author decides to give a speech on the state of modern theatre during the curtain call, the audience is treated to a madcap climax and a thoroughly hilarious romp. Even the sound effects reap their share of laughter.
