The Passing of Bill Winkler

Dear Friends,

I are very sad to report that Bill Winkler has passed away. Bill was a dedicated and hard working member of Footlighters who was always available for any job who needed a volunteer.

He was humble and loved fixing and building sets for all our productions. We will miss his kindness and generosity in helping in the upkeep of our Stained Glass Theatre.

We send our deepest condolences to the Winkler family.

Visitation services will be on Wednesday, June 20th from 5:00-7:00pm with a memorial service at 7:00pm at Dalbert, Woodruff, Isenogle Funeral Home: 2880 Boudinot Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45238. There will be a celebration of his life held at the Glenmore Playhouse, home to The Drama Workshop, after the service at the funeral home. Please come and tell you great stories about working with Bill.

Glenmore Playhouse (formerly the Glenmore Bowling Alley) is at the corner of Glenmore and Gamble Ave. one block down from Harrison Ave.

Saturday Morning Road Closure Information for OCTAFest

There is a race on Saturday morning near Miami University Hamilton. There will be some street closures: both University and Williams will be closed and part of Neilan.

The man in charge of the race logistics says they will be allowing cars to travel on University if they enter from Knightsbridge.

The roads should only be closed from 7am-10am so hopefully it won’t be too much of a hassle. If people come down Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, they would normally enter from Knightsbridge.

Those coming from Hamilton/Pleasant Avenue will need to continue on a few blocks and turn left on Knightsbridge.

OCTAFEST Update, Deadline Today

Thank all of you who have pre-registered for the exciting OCTAFEST/ACT event this upcoming week at Parrish Auditorium – Miami University Hamilton.

Note: Monday, June 18 is the deadline for pre-registration. If you haven’t already snail mailed your paperwork, you can register at the door on Thursday, Friday or Saturday – excerpts, awards, party, only. No banquet or box lunch tickets can be purchased after Monday’s deadline.

ACT Pay Pal will also be closed at midnight on Monday.
