Multi-platinum international music sensation Celtic Woman celebrates its newest studio album, VOICES OF ANGELS on its upcoming North American concert tour, which makes a stop at the Aronoff Center’s Procter & Gamble Hall on Thursday, April 20 at 7:00 PM.

VOICES OF ANGELS (released November 18 on Manhattan/Caroline) debuted atop the Billboard World chart at #1 and has been riding high since its release, while the group’s DESTINY album–which also topped the chart upon its release–remains in the Top Ten more than 50 weeks after its release.

TCT Presents The Frisch Marionette Company’s Production of PUPPETS KAPOW

The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati is proud to host The Frisch Marionette Company’s production of PUPPETS KAPOW on the new Ralph and Patricia Corbett Showtime Stage in their facility on Red Bank Road.

TCT’s Producing Artistic Director, Roderick Justice says, ““Frisch Marionettes brings to life one of the most mesmerizing live theatrical performances I have ever witnessed.  We are excited to share this experience with you. ”

This fast-paced and fun-filled show features fabulous puppets performing fantastic feats!  It is a puppet explosion of Marionettes!  Hand puppets!  Shadow puppets!  Blacklight puppets!  Rod puppets!  Puppets singing, dancing, and performing tricks that will have you laughing and shouting for more!

About Kevin Frisch and The Frisch Marionette Company:
In 1986, Kevin Frisch moved to New York City and joined The Puppetworks, Inc. of Brooklyn, New York. The next nine years were spent touring the New York Metropolitan area as well as performing in The Puppetworks’ permanent theatres in Brooklyn and Macy’s Herald Square. In 1995, Kevin established The Frisch Marionettes in Cincinnati as an exceptional entertainment and educational experience for children and adults alike, proclaiming the many virtues of this unusual art form.  Kevin Frisch has built puppets, masks and costumes for The Central Park Zoo, New York Aquarium and The Puppetworks Inc. of New York. His puppets have been seen in People Magazine, SHOWTIMES’ “Twisted Puppet Theater”, the PBS Documentary “The American Puppet,” and onstage with The Cincinnati Opera as well as in the New York store windows of ‘Saks 5th Ave.’, ‘Bloomingdale’s’ and ‘Hermes New York’ and in the family film “Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium” featuring Dustin Hoffman and Natalie Portman. Kevin and his puppets have appeared in television commercials for Joseph Toyota of Cincinnati. Most recently, his puppets have appeared in the hit television shows “2 Broke Girls” on CBS and “Warehouse 13” on the Syfy channel.  For the past four seasons, The Frisch Marionette Company has designed puppets for TCT’s MainStage productions at the Taft Theatre.

This groundbreaking live concert performance celebrating the combination of classical music and opera with classic rock features world-class vocalists and top rock musicians including renowned vocalists Rob Evan, Chloe Lowery, Kimberly Nichole, Tony Vincent, Ximena Borges and esteemed musicians Tony Bruno, Alex Alexander, Mat Fieldes and Henry Aronson. 

Accomplished actor, singer and producer Rob Evan’s 20 years in the entertainment profession includes seven leading roles on Broadway and performances at Presidential Inaugural Galas, World Series Celebrations, the Millennium World Forum and Monday Night Football.  A member of the multi-platinum-selling rock band, Trans- Siberian Orchestra, Rob has opened and performed with Sir Elton John, REM, Joe Walsh, Usher and Michael Crawford among others.  As co- creator of ROCKTOPIA he will be on stage with vocalist Chloe Lowery another member of Trans-Siberian Orchestra and featured on Yanni’s 2013, 2014 and 2016 releases: Truth of Touch, Inspirato, and Sensuous Chill.  Tony Vincent Broadway star of Rent who also originated the role of St. Jimmy in Green Day’s American Idiot and competed on NBC’s The VOICE on Team Ce-Lo joins Kimberly Nichole, another VOICE veteran as a winning finalist in Season 8. She has been described as an “Avant-Rock n Roll” song stylist and songwriter by VOGUE, Seventeen Magazine and MTV UK.  Classically trained Opera star Ximena Borges has traveled the world from the Lyon Conservatory in France to the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Germany to study under the tutelage of Opera’s most legendary teachers including Bill Schuman, Mariena Malas and more.   ROCKTOPIA musicians include lead guitarist Tony Bruno, guitarist for such musical giants as Enrique Iglesias, Rihanna, E K’naan, Karmin, Delta Goodrem and many others. About RTT

As a vocalist and recording artist, Rob is a member of the multi-platinum-selling rock band, Trans- Siberian Orchestra. The Carnegie Hosts TEAM KARAOKE CHALLENGE

(COVINGTON, KY) – Carpool crooners, secretive singers, and daring divas are invited to show off their karaoke chops on Saturday, February 11, as part of The Carnegie’s Team Karaoke Challenge. 

The team-based karaoke event, part of The Carnegie’s new G.E.T. Together series, will pit teams of two to four against each other in a knock-out style tournament with audience members as judges. During the first round, teams will sing their best group number, then play or steal in the karaoke trivia round, and finally put up their best soloist to win the game. Audience members will have fun cheering for their friends, jeering for their opponents, and voting for the winner. The 1st – 3rd place teams will receive $1,000 in prizes.

“Karaoke is one of those things that just screams party,” said Maggie Perrino, Theatre Director at The Carnegie. “We want people to give us their best popstar impression and have a blast doing it, all in a fun, friendly atmosphere at The Carnegie.”

Doors open for happy hour in The Carnegie Galleries at 6pm, with the karaoke challenge beginning at 7pm.

Team registration is $60 and must be completed by Friday, February 3. Teams can register by emailing Carnegie Theatre Director Maggie Perrino at mperrino@thecarnegie.com. Registration includes one complimentary drink per person.
