Free Online trueFAKES on May 7

TRUE_trueFAKES logoTo our True friends,

EVERYBODY will have a chance to watch our next storytelling event, “trueFAKES,” this-coming Thursday (May 7) at 7:30 PM (live online!) for FREE, but only those who register to join the Zoom event will be able to be “in the audience” and answer polls and participate in the Q&A that we are adding at the end of the show (a first for us!).

Below, you will find the registration link, but our Zoom account limits attendance to 100 people, so spots are on a first-come-first-served basis.

If you register and get a message that the event is “at capacity” (or just don’t want to be “in the audience”) there is still a way to enjoy the show, live and for free: at 7:30pm on May 7, go to our Facebook page  (https://www.facebook.com/truetheatre) and look for the live-stream and you’ll see how you can start watching . If you join us that way, consider creating a “watch party” when you do so your friends will know you’re watching and can join you! (And if you haven’t done so already, be sure to “Like” us on Facebook so you get a notification when we go Live!)

Both the Zoom event and Facebook live-feed should begin about 10 minutes prior to the show starting, so join in, sit back, and get ready for Cincinnati storytelling at its finest!

To try to register for the Zoom event and be “in the audience,” follow this link:

https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/2915882689773/WN_tI6mmlk0R4-hbsUIVyZSiw

However you do it, thanks in advance for joining us this-coming Thursday! We’ve got 5 great tellers lined up for you to share their “fake”-themed story. The stories are true, it’s just the theme that’s “fakes”!

Although a different experience than attending a show in-person, we are grateful for a chance to actually be seen by friends, family, and followers around the world and to help create connections and good will between people, even during this period of self-isolation/stay-at-home orders/quarantines.

Until Thursday, be true!
–Dave & your friends at True Theatre

Popular Trivia Game Show and Live Podcast THE QUIZ BOX Comes to Cincinnati

KTC_The Quiz Box logoFor the past six years, comedy and trivia fans in Columbus, Ohio have been gathering monthly to laugh and win prizes at their favorite local game show, The Quiz Box, and now, for the first time ever, the show is hitting the road to Cincinnati.

Co-hosts Erik Tait (as seen on Penn & Teller: Fool Us) and Nickey Winkelman (as seen on Laughs TV) along with podcast producer Kevin Hendrix (as seen on Jeopardy!) are bringing THE QUIZ BOX to Know Theatre of Cincinnati on Saturday, March 28. This Columbus-based podcast and game show has been growing in popularity since its debut in 2014, bringing in local and touring comedians to play a game of impossible trivia to win prizes for audience counterparts.

Each audience member gets a chance to “play,” by receiving a raffle ticket upon entry to the show. The best part is: audience members don’t need to know any trivia at all. The comedian panelists who select raffle tickets from the “Bucket of People” answer ridiculous trivia questions and rack up points, which their audience counterpart gets to cash in later for some outrageous prizes.

Past guests on the show include comedian Michael Malone (Comedy Central, Showtime), Jason Banks (True TV) and Nina West (Ru Paul’s Drag Race).

The March 28 show at Know Theatre will feature Columbus comedian Amber Falter, Cincinnati’s own Kelly Collette, touring juggler and comedian Tony Steinbach, and special guest David Levy of True Theatre.

Find out more about The Quiz Box at www.quizboxcast.com, and listen to full episodes of the podcast on iTunes and Spotify. Tickets for the March 28 show are available through Know Theatre’s website or by going to www.quizboxcast.com/events/know
