WP Auditioning Two Roles for FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS

Wyoming Players-Ohio Oldest Community Theater Company is holding auditions for the parts of Trish and Tripp in FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS by Alan Ball. At Essex Studio’s Room 276 on Sunday February 19th from 2pm-5pm.

FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS by Alan Ball
Directed by Keith Gabbard and Produced by Shannon Gabbard (May 11-13, 17-19, 2012)

During an ostentatious wedding reception at a Knoxville, Tennessee, estate, five reluctant, identically clad bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom, each with her own reason to avoid the proceedings below. As the afternoon wears on, these five very different women joyously discover a common bond in this wickedly funny, irreverent and touching celebration of the women’s spirit.

Casting for: 1 Man (mid twenties), 1 Woman (stage age late 20s-early 30s).

  • Trisha: One of the bride’s oldest friends with a supposed bad reputation. She is striking and confident but is jaded when it comes to romance and relationships. Although a certain groomsman may have piqued her interest.
  • Tripp: The Groom’s cousin and one of groomsmen. He is self assured and charming. He is a potential love interest for Trisha.

If you are interested in auditioning for either part please contact the director by e-mail or phone to schedule and appointment.

MTG Announces Cast of SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE!

The Milford Theatre Guilde is proud to announce the cast for our Spring 2012 production of SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE!

The cast features:

  • Bill Berry as Tom
  • Megan Geoppinger as Dori
  • Neil Geoppinger as George
  • Lynn Griswold as Dina
  • Megan Neal as Shulie
  • Jeff Surber as Joe

SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE!
A pop culture phenomenon comes to the musical stage! The Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs is not only making a small-screen comeback, instructing a whole new generation to “Unpack Your Adjectives” and “Do The Circulations,” it’s lighting up stages everywhere, from school multi-purpose rooms to university and regional theatres all around the country. Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such beloved “Schoolhouse Rock” songs as “Just A Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction.”

Directed by Barb Russell & Terri Wilson

The show will be presented at the St. Andrews Parish Center in Milford on April 20, 21, 22, 27, 28.
