Auditions Announced for GHOST: The Musical at La Comedia Dinner Theatre

La Comedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio, is holding an open call audition for its upcoming production of GHOST: THE MUSICAL on Saturday, October 19, at 9:00 a.m. at 765 W. Central Ave., Springboro, Ohio.

  • SAM WHEAT: Male, 25-35. Strong singer, charming leading man, the hero of the story. Moves well, athletic look, guitar playing a plus. Pop tenor with strong belt: G# – Bb
  • MOLLY JENSEN: Female, 25-35. Strong singer. Sweet, smart, but too trusting. Pop rock singer with strong belt: G3 to Eb5
  • ODA MAE BROWN African-American Female. Dynamic singer, larger-than-life character. Smart, sincere, comedic spiritual advisor. Strong mover, Vocal range Ab3 – F5
  • CARL BRUNER: Male 25-35. Sam’s best friend with hidden motives. Stage combat experience a plus. Vocal range Eb – A4
  • WILLIE LOPEZ/ENSEMBLE: Latino Male, 25-35. Menacing, dangerous, street smart thug hired by Carl to steal Sam’s wallet but results in Sam’s murder. Stage combat experience a plus. Vocal range Eb3 – A4
  • SUBWAY GHOST/ORLANDO JONES/ENSMBLE: Male. Aggressive ghost who eventually aids Sam in learning about his powers in the afterlife. Extremely physical role, a large imposing force. Stage combat, strong mover a plus. Experience with rap also a plus.
  • CLARA/ORTISHA JONES/FIRST NUN/ENSEMBLE: African American Woman, 20-30. Woks with Oda Mae at her spiritual shop. Comedic, has a strong voice. Vocal Range F3-G5
  • LOUISE/OFFICER WALLACE/ENSEMBLE: African-American female, 20-30. Works with Oda Mae at her spiritual shop. Comedic, has a strong voice. Vocal range: F3-G5
  • ENSEMBLE: Male & Female, Age 18+ to play various roles and understudy leads

Please prepare a 32 bar musical theatre song. Please provide a current headshot and resume.

Rehearsals: December 26 – 31 & Jan 2 – 9, 2025 (9 AM – 6 PM)

Performances January 10 – February 9, 2025. Thurs-Sun matinees

Auditions Announced for ELEEMOSYNARY at Beechmont Players

Tri-County Players Announces Auditions for their December production

HERCULE POIROT & THE CASE OF THE CHRISTMAS RUBY by Todd Olson

Audition Dates:

  • Sunday, October 6th 6:30pm – 8:30pm at the Evendale Bell Tower Art Pavilion (Theater) – 3270 Glendale Milford Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241
  • Monday, October 7th 6:30pm – 8:30pm at the Evendale Cultural Arts Center (lower level studio) – 10428 Reading Rd, Sharonville, OH 45241

Auditions will consist of called readings from the script.

For a Christmas present the American heiress Ruth (VanAldren) Kettering is given the most coveted ruby in the world – the “Heart of Fire” – by her loving father. She then boards the famous Blue Train to meet a lover on the French Riviera. Enroute, she meets an English country girl possessing a fortune from a recent inheritance. The women leave behind an unfaithful husband, an industrialist father, and a host of other shadowy international figures with mysterious pasts. But when the Blue Train arrives in Nice, one of them is dead, and vacationing Hercule Poirot is drawn into service once again. On this train, no one is who they seem, and only Detective Poirot can disentangle the disguises and deceptions.
Adapted from Agatha Christie’s 1928 novel “The Mystery of the Blue Train”.

Auditions Announced for THE WOMEN OF LOCHERBIE at Troy Civic Theatre

Mon, Sept. 30 & Tue Oct. 1 at 7pm

A mother from New Jersey roams the hills of Lockerbie, Scotland, looking for her son’s remains that were lost in the crash of Pan Am 103. She meets the women of Lockerbie, who are fighting the U.S. government to obtain the clothing of the victims found in the plane’s wreckage. The women, determined to convert an act of hatred into an act of love, want to wash the clothes of the dead and return them to the victim’s families.

  • Director Derek Dunavent is looking for 5 women and 2 men of various ages.
